Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.

• Given that the piracy lawsuit against the IA will be the first time that the legality of Controlled Digital Lending will be tested in court, it is really weird to see this addition to Fair Use be described as “something libraries could lose”. (You can’t lose what you did not have.)
• Kluwer explores the copyright issues of NFTs.  (It really gets into the nitty gritty details.)
• Anne R Allen has a list of ten things authors should do before they publish their book. 
• I would bet good money that none of these uses of blockchain in book publishing will catch on. The thing is, the majority of book sales are to people who read, and hardly any of these startups even touch that.
• Who is the most prolific author in history?
• The Brooklyn Public Library has ended its paid library cards for non-residents.
