NOVA Writing Events

When I launched it in late 2019, NOVA Writing Events was an event calendar which covered all author events in Virginia and Maryland. Then COVID-19 happened, and the calendar went on hiatus and was removed to conserve resources.

I want to bring that calendar back one day, but for now here is a list of organizations in this region which hold author events.

Note: This page is a work in progress. I will continue to add more info as time goes by.

 

Writing Clubs

Between the two state writing clubs, RWA, and Sisters in Crime, you would not beleive how many local writing clubs there are.

SF Cons

There are many SF cons in this region where authors can connect with fans and other authors. A few of the cons include:

 

Libraries

Many libraries in our area hosted events for authors before COVID. As things return to normal, they will again.

There were several independent groups in the region which supported authors before COVID, and there will be more in the future. Some of these groups include:
