Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.

  • Readerlink is going to stop distributing mass market paperbacks to retailers like Walmart by the end of this year because sales had dropped enough that the money isn’t there any more. What I find most interesting about this story is how the most likely cause for the decline in paperback sales (ebooks) isn’t is hardly mentioned anywhere.
  • World Backup Day is on 31 March. Have you checked your backups lately?
  • ElevenLabs has launched a platform for AI-narrated audiobooks.
  • Hugh Howey used the Deepseek AI to write poems, and then published them on the Kindle.
