Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.
- If the IBPA and PubWest merger goes through, the USA will finally have a worthwhile national trade group for the book publishing industry. (I think the AAP rests on its laurels too much, yes.)
- It looks like we are about to have another cycle of low-quality POD books almost going mainstream. This has actually been happening for at least a decade (I recall a complaint about a new volume of Pepys’ diaries being noticeably lower in quality than the previous volume).
