Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.

  • Nathan Bransford wants to know whether you write chronologically or whether you bounce around from one part of a work to another.
  • Written Word media released their annual author survey a few weeks ago.
  • Here’s an interesting copyright case where a guy who was successfully sued in Canada for pirating a Canadian legal code (they’re under copyright in Canada) is currently winning a similar case here in the USA (where legal codes can’t be copyrighted).
  • Someone is impersonating the Writer beware blog, and we don’t know why.
  • Bowker released their annual reports on ISBNs registered in the USA.
  • HarperCollins is pressuring authors is pressuring authors to sign over their books so they can be fed to the AI spam machines.
