Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.
- When was the last time you checked how your site looks in Google? Does it even show up? (not all sites do)
- Peter Derk has a great summary of why I and a lot of internet lefties like me generally support the Internet Archive, but oppose it on the topic of The Open Library.
- Thad McIllroy is absolutely right in that AI is going to turn book publishing upside down.
- Jonathan Bailey explains how the USA Supreme Court’s ruling in the Andy Warhol case is bad news for AI-generated content.
P.S. I admit that I have mixed feelings about AI-generated art, in particular when it shows up on stock art sites. On the one hand, for the firs time ever I now have an adequate supply of artwork for a certain niche project, but on the other hand I am seeing a lot more crappy AI-generated art. And I am not talking about bad art so much as badly made art which isn’t even usable for backgrounds.
