Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.

If the IBPA and PubWest merger goes through, the USA will finally have a worthwhile national trade group for the book publishing industry. (I think the AAP rests on its laurels too much, yes.)
It looks like we are about to have another cycle of low-quality POD books almost going mainstream. This has actually been happening for at least a decade (I recall a complaint about a new volume of Pepys’ diaries being noticeably lower in quality than the previous volume).

I am currently in the middle of updating my website. This includes finding and fixing broken links, which reminds me, here are 6 tools for finding broken links in your website.
