Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.

  • It’s not just you; no one knows how marketing works. (I describe marketing as magic – literally casting a spell on peoples minds. Basically I am saying I have no idea how it works.)
  • Old blogs used to die and be brought back by shady folks using ghost-written blog posts. Now those same shady people are using AI-generated spam for content.
  • I recently learned of a site which has a map showing more indie bookstores than you could visit in a lifetime.
  • Here’s a fascinating list of books whose author’s regret writing.
  • Audible announced a new royalty model.
  • Check out this video of vintage pencil sharpeners.

P.S. This coming weekend I will be at Imaginarium in Louisville, KY. You can find me in the dealers room, and on panels, so be sure to say hello if you see me.

Hi, I'm Nate.

I build and fix websites for authors, and I am also a tech VA. I can build you a website that looks great and turns visitors into fans, and I can also fix your tech when it breaks. Let me fight with tech support so you don’t have to.

My blog has everything you need to know about websites and online services. Don’t see what you need. or want personalized help? Reach out.
