• B&N is launching a new Nook model this week. 
• One can’t have too many journals, but f you are looking for alternate gift suggestions for writers, this post will help. 
• Amazon is now shipping proof and author copies to New Zealand. 
• Someone made a site which lets you download all of the content attached to the NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Given how easy it is to possess the content, it raises doubts about whether the supposed “ownership” conferred by owning an NFT has any value.

• Publishers are suing Shopify for facilitating piracy.  I used to be on the platform’s side, but I’ve come around to the view that companies need to step up and prevent the misuse of their platforms.
• Did you see the latest nonsense from Amazon hater David Streitfeld? 

P.S. The reason I called Streitfeld’s piece nonsense is that his opening argument is a a lawsuit an author filed over Amazon running a marketplace where sellers can price the author’s book however they want. (That is how marketplace’s work, for fuck’s sake.) And the reason I called him an Amazon hater is that he has a history of doing stuff like this – for example, he acted as the media spokesperson for Authors United during Amazon-Hachette.
