• Bookshop.org has launched an ebook platform.
• NetGalley has launched a new browser-based reading app.
• On a related note, they’ve also dropped support for Adobe DRM, which means that ereaders such as Kobo’s are no longer supported.
• The USA Copyright Office has released part 2 of its report on the copyright and AI. You can find both parts here.
• Computer Scientists have developed a new algorithm for optimizing the sorting of the books in your library. (I don’t see why we would need this; piles stacked up all over works just fine for me.)
• Victoria Strauss is absolutely right when she says that the UK’s newly proposed copyright exception would turn copyright law on its head.
